Nagpur porn racket has Pune, Mumbai links

Mumbai: The clandestine racket of making and distributing porn films, which was being run by Nagpur-based businessman Dharmendra Jain, has obscure ties to districts of Pune and Gondia it is now indicated.

The Nagpur Police, which is conducting the investigation on Jain, based upon the complaint filed by his estranged wife, claimed that the accused exploited girls from various districts, especially from poor families and ones in desperate need of jobs.

A senior police official claimed that in the raids conducted on Jain's Hingna road-based outlet of engineering tools and at his home in Prasad Nagar near Jaitala, cops seized a digital equipment - laptops, CDs and storage drives - containing obscene material of pornographic nature.
The official added that the laptop contained graphic materials including 10 clips involving the accused and two girls, who were previously employed with him.

“The accused is also allegedly visible in the pornographic clips, which shockingly not only feature his wife, but also two other girls, whom he snared into the racket under the pretext of a job,” the official said.

While police have identified the girls in the explicit footage, their identity is being kept under wraps.

“One of the victim is from Gondia, while the other is now married to a respectable  family in Pune. As much as we would like the victims to come forth and record their statements in this case, the girls themselves have requested us not to drag them in the investigations, fearing social stigma,” Deputy Commissioner of Police (Zone I) Kailash Kanse told Sakal Times over phone.

He added that the investigation has also revealed that Jain allegedly marketed the CDs and clips to his friends and clients from Pune, Mumbai and even abroad.

“We are investigating all angles of the case, and are yet to ascertain whether the accused exploited the women all by himself or whether there were other men also involved in the racket,” Kanse said.

Meanwhile, the Cyber Crime team of Nagpur is in the process of examining the social networking accounts of the accused, in attempts to unearth whether any lurid-objectionable material was posted or uploaded by him.
