Eastern Railway Recruitment 2013 – Sports Quota Posts: Eastern Railway has advertised notification for recruitment of 05 Sports persons against Sports Quota in Sealdah Division in PB-1 scale 5200-20200/-with Grade Pay Rs.1800/- for the year 2013 to 2014. Name of Discipline:
1. Foot Ball: 02 Posts (01 – Stopper & 01 – Striker)
2. Golf: 01 Post
3. Cricket: 02 Posts (01 – Wicket Keeper & 01 – Pace)

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be in between 18-25 years as on 01-01-2014.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Matriculation or ITI or equivalent and candidates should possess outstanding sports achievements.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Trials and interview and Medical Examination.

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 40/- Processing Fee in the form of Crossed Indian Postal Order drawn in favour of payable to Divisional Sports Officer / Divisional Sports Association / Eastern Railway, Sealdah , payable at GPO/ Kolkata should be attached by UR and OBC candidates.

How to Apply: Eligible candidates can send their applications in prescribed format should be written in English or in Hindi Language along with attested copies of all certificates duly attested by Gazetted Officer, two self-addressed envelopes (23” X 10”) duly stamped (Rs.5/-), one passport size photograph should be pasted on space provided in the application form duly cross signed by the applicant and two passport size photographs with name written on the back in a closed envelope superscripted ‘“Application for Appointment in PB-1 Scale Rs.5200-20200/-; Grade Pay of Rs. 1800/- Against Sports quota -2013-14 open advertisement with Employment Notice No. E/SC/SPORTS/SELECT/2013-14 Sealdah 30-10-2013 & Sports Discipline” by ordinary post or to Sports Officer, Divisional Railway Manager’s Office ( 1st floor), Sports Section, Kaiser Street, Sealdah, Kolkata-700014 or by Drop Box at Divisional Railway Manager’s Office ( 1st floor), Sports Section, Kaiser Street, Sealdah, Kolkata-700014 on or before 08-01-2014 by 16.00 hrs & 24-01-2014 by 16.00 hrs for the candidates residing abroad and far flung areas.

Age Limit: Candidates age limit should be in between 18-25 years as on 01-01-2014.

Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess 10th Class/ ITI, Relevant Sports Qualification.

Selection Process: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in Trials, interview medical exam. (Trials shall only be considered for the Interview stage by Recruitment committee).

Application Fee: Candidates have to pay Rs. 100/- Processing fee in the form of Crossed Indian Postal Order/ Crossed Demand Draft/ Pay Order issued by any Post Office/ any Nationalized Bank payable to FA&CAO, Eastern Railway, Kolkata, Payable at GPO/ Kolkata/ Nationalized Bank/ Kolkata should be attached by UR and OBC candidates with the application forms. Candidate should mention their Name and Address on the Indian Postal Order/ Demand Draft/ Pay Order where applicable.

i. By Post: The application can be sent either by Registered post or by ordinary post. The application received after due date i.e. 24-12-2013 due to Postal delay, even if, it is sent well before the closing date, will not be entertained and treated as cancelled.

ii. By Dropping in Box: The application can be dropped in the box kept at Gate No. 1 of Jamalpur Workshop from the day after the date of publication of notification from 10.00 hrs to 16.00 hrs (except Sundays and Holidays) up to 23-12-2013. The box will be available up to 13:00 Hrs on Saturdays. (No application will be received, if it is sent by Courier).
